Methodology
Where the fees come from
Every subscription price and fee is read from the platform's own pricing page or help center, and checked against the page it came from.
How take-home pay is calculated
- Revenue = sales a month × average price.
- Platform cost = the plan's subscription + its transaction fee on every sale.
- Card processing = 2.9% + $0.30 per sale for US cards, the rate Stripe, PayPal and most platform processors quote. Kajabi uses its own plan rates; Skool's fee already includes processing.
- We pick the plan that leaves you the most money and allows your number of courses.
What we leave out
- International cards, currency conversion and subscription surcharges, which add 0.7–1.5% on several platforms.
- Skool's 30% "Growth Boost" cut on members its own discovery brings you.
- Sales tax and VAT handling, payout fees, and features: plans differ a lot in what they include.
How this site earns
