Lemon Squeezy pricing and fees
Lemon Squeezy charges no monthly fee and takes 5% + 50¢ of each order, with card processing, currency conversion and sales tax handling included. International orders add 1.5%, PayPal 1.5% and subscription payments 0.5%, so a $25 sale from the US leaves you $23.25 and from abroad $22.87. Payouts are free to a US bank through Stripe and cost 1% to a bank elsewhere.

After 5% + 50¢ and the surcharges; Lemon Squeezy works the fee out on the order total including any tax it collects, so a taxed order pays a little more. In its words: “When you make a sale using Lemon Squeezy, we take a small fee, known as the “platform fee”, to cover the costs of credit card transaction fees, currency conversion fees, taxes (yes, we cover taxes) etc.” “There are certain times when an additional fee might be added to the platform fee to cover processing fees: +1.5% for international (outside of the US) transactions +1.5% for PayPal transactions +0.5% for subscription payments”

Marketing fees
Two of Lemon Squeezy's marketing features cost extra: 5% of payments recovered through abandoned cart emails, and 3% of sales referred by your affiliates.
Lemon Squeezy and Stripe
Lemon Squeezy's January 2026 update says Stripe bought it in 2024 and plans to move its users to Stripe Managed Payments: “That’s what we’re doing with Stripe Managed Payments: Stripe’s merchant of record solution.” “Our goal is to provide Lemon Squeezy users an easy way to migrate to Stripe Managed Payments.” The fees above are Lemon Squeezy's own, as its docs list them today.

How much does Lemon Squeezy charge per sale?
5% + 50¢ of the order, processing included: $1.75 of a $25 sale (7.0%) and $5.50 of a $100 one. An order from outside the US adds 1.5%, a PayPal payment 1.5% and a subscription payment 0.5%; the fee is worked out on the total order value.
Does Lemon Squeezy have a monthly fee?
No: “There is no monthly fee to use Lemon Squeezy for payment processing.” Selling costs only the fee on each order. Email marketing is the one part with a price by the month: “Monthly or annual charges for email marketing features are based on the total number of subscribers you have and are free for up to 500 subscribers.”
What does Lemon Squeezy charge on international sales and PayPal?
1.5% more for an order from outside the US and 1.5% more for a PayPal payment, on top of 5% + 50¢. A $25 order from abroad paid by PayPal leaves $22.49, against $23.25 from a US card. Lemon Squeezy's own example: “Platform fee ($0.50 + 5% of total + 1.5% int’l payment) $2.06” on a $24 order from France.
What are Lemon Squeezy's payout fees?
Through Stripe, free to a US bank account and 1% of each payout to a bank outside the US; through PayPal, $0.50 per payout in the US and 3% capped at $30 elsewhere. A $1,000 payout costs $0 (Stripe to a US bank), $10 (Stripe to a bank outside the US), $0.50 (PayPal in the US) and $30 (PayPal outside the US). Payouts go out twice a month once they reach $50.
Is Lemon Squeezy cheaper than Gumroad or Payhip?
For 50 sales of $25 a month, Lemon Squeezy leaves $1,163, Gumroad $1,049 and Payhip $1,145 (Plus). Lemon Squeezy's fee includes processing and sales tax handling; Payhip's and Gumroad's processing is counted at 2.9% + $0.30.
Why does Lemon Squeezy cost more on cheap products?
Because of the fixed 50¢: it takes 15.0% of a $5 sale and 10.0% of a $10 sale, against 5.5% of $100. Lemon Squeezy offers custom pricing here: “If you’re a fast-growing or established large-scale business, sell products lower than $10, or have a business model that processes a high volume of transactions, contact our sales team for custom pricing.”
