Sales through Gumroad's Discover marketplace cost a flat 30%, processing included. Once your paid sales reach $20,000 in a month, new direct sales cost 5% + $0.50. There is no monthly fee.

How much does Gumroad take per sale?

Does Gumroad charge a monthly fee?
No. Gumroad has no plans or subscription; it takes its fee from each sale, so a month with no sales costs nothing.
What are Gumroad's payout fees?
Gumroad's help center names no fee for payouts to a bank account. Payouts to PayPal cost 2%, and instant payouts, for US creators only and up to $10,000, cost 3%. You need a balance of at least $100 for a regular payout.
Does Gumroad charge PayPal fees?
If you connect your own PayPal account so buyers can pay with PayPal, PayPal's own fee and Gumroad's 10% + $0.50 are both taken from each PayPal sale. Gumroad doesn't state PayPal's rate, so this calculator prices every direct sale at the card rate. Being paid out to PayPal is separate and costs 2%.
When does Gumroad's fee drop to 5%?
Once your paid sales in a calendar month reach $20,000, new direct sales that month cost 5% + $0.50, without applying. It resets on the 1st. Past that point a $100 sale leaves you $91.30 instead of $86.30.
Does Gumroad keep its fee when you refund a sale?
No. Gumroad returns its own fee on the refunded part of a sale; only the card-processing part is kept, because the processor doesn't return it.
